As a global leading project developer, nserve supports the Film Commission of Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein (FCHSH) in setting a good example by implementing the ‘Green Shooting Card’. The Green Shooting Card is an initiative of the FCHSH, which specifically addresses the ecological sustainability of film productions. As a certified seal of approval by the official European environmental capital of 2011 – Hamburg –, it is to be established as an award and proof of climate-friendly productions.

Typical film production emission sources will be analyzed and appropriate strategies will be developed for how film productions can become more ecologically sustainable in the future. The results gathered will go towards perfecting the whole concept and defining precise award criteria. The long term goal is to develop this into a full standard.

Film & TV industry experts were informed about the initiative at the kick-off event on September 19, 2012 in Hamburg. A press release in German is available.
